Newsgroups: comp.sys.ibm.pc Subject: Flexible scheduler for OS/2 Summary: looking for 3rd party schedulers Keywords: scheduler OS/2 Message-ID: <11390@orstcs.CS.ORST.EDU> Date: 27 Jun 89 06:29:17 GMT Sender: usenet@orstcs.CS.ORST.EDU Reply-To: nacer@mist.CS.ORST.EDU (Abdenacer Moussaoui C.) Organization: Oregon State Univ. -- Computer Science Lines: 16 I am looking for any information leading to the selection of a flexible scheduler to be used *preferably* under OS/2. The scheduler should offer some of the following features - ease of use - notification in case the scheduled instructions require resources that are not available when they are activated, (eg. printer is off-line or out-of-paper, backup drive faulty) - exception handling and abilty to re-schedule - being able to view all scheduled events at once and modify them interactively and in a visual manner - use of extended/expanded memory If you know or have seen any information about serious schedulers I would appreciate you e-mailing me directly. I will summarize to the net if there is enough interested. --nacer nacer@mist.cs.orst.edu
