By this, I mean a HW/SW combination that can act as the complete interface between you and your phone line: 1. act as a Group 3 FAX, modem, and voice mail/answering machine 2. distinguish between incoming FAX, modem, or voice 3. queue up FAXen and send them at night when rates are low 4. provide full voice-mail capabilities, including remote review 5. answer the phone after *no* rings. 6. anything I haven't thought of that machines do over the phone. A friend of mine is considering the Quadram FAX board, but he also needs a good voice mail system and doesn't want to buy two boards when all of the circuitry is practically the same. So, does this exist, or is there some technical reason why one of the above (like 3.) can't be provided ? Are we waiting for ISDN ? Replies by email only please, list of responses will be posted to the appropriate group.
