I recently "inherited" a part-time job helping to maintain a PC-RT system that 
is used by the school's student health service for appointment scheduling and
minimal record keeping.  I am familiar with the classic PC/XT and PC/AT 
designs, but the PC/RT seems another breed entirely.  

I have been requested to investigate faster hard disks, disk cacheing
techniques, and what it would take to add a WORM drive as a large minidisk.
Can anybody offer suggestions as to where I can look for information about
these things?
