so a whole flock of responses poured in
about my thanx for all the help re wolframatica
and a couple made the wise suggestion that i summarize
(several actually DID ask questions about real viruses!)
anyway, there was no absolute consensus but the general
gestalt was somethin like this:
1 meg : don make me laugh, mahn.
2 meg : enuf to be useful but crashes a lot
4 meg : good for most stuff cept complex graphics
5 meg : rare graceless crashes. buy more RAM as price drops.
8 meg : VM? we don need no steenkin virtual memory!
feeling seemed to be: buy the program now
if you can get a good deal and get around to
upgrading RAM whenever...
