Not really. "Crystal" chandeliers and goblets are made from glass which has a high percentage of lead oxide in it, and they are quite clear. I feel nervous about drinking acid solutions containing metal-binding chelating agents (like red wine) from them, but lead crystal should make decent screen material. Howard A. Landman landman@sun.com
