I had problems to with our Zenith, my solution:

1. hard drive c: is standard (if your system is standard !!!) type 2

2. prep your harddisk, maybe thats the only thing to do, (well I did it)

3. take *all* memory resident programms off, 
device should be :  device=ansi.sys
                    device=vdisk.sys /e

the /e is important, otherwise the system will install the ramdrive in the
basic memory. Zenith *does not* have extanded memory, even so it is called
extended it is expanded, only good for ramdrives and UNIX.

The EGAcard is not a standard card, what I heread only sold to the
Government. The BIOS is Zenith-made. Could cause some problems.
