For example, I used to type >/NextApps/Terminal & and a new Terminal window would spring in to being. Now it briefly appears, then disappears and the shell reports that its job is done. All the applications I've tried [mis-]behave in approximately the same way. Shell is particularly interesting; it opens a window, shuts it and leaves a mini-window at the bottom of the workspace. When I open the mini-window, I get a Shell window with its content area gray! Does anyone have any ideas about the root of this problem? It persists through reboots, making me wonder if the Workspace/Window- Server has some undocumented default that I've somehow overwritten. -- Joe Christy | joe@mathcs.emory.edu | Time flies like an Emory University | {decvax, gatech}!emory!joe | arrow, fruit flies Dept of Math and CS | joe@emory.bitnet | like bananas.
