At present, the problems of combinatorial explosion inherent in this field are becoming apparent, resulting in huge execution times for even relatively uncomplex task forces. In the future it will be necessary to port several algorithms to a machine capable of processing speeds in the order of 10s of MIPS. Does anyone out there have any experience (good or bad) with running: o ProLog o Modula-2 on a multiple transputer engine? Thanks in advance for your efforts.
