Proportional printing works *only* in *one* font at *one* size. WP files are really difficult to make reasonably printer independent (eg: different indents on every printer). I'll take ed, nroff and an ASR33 (well, almost an ASR33...) to WP 4.2 any day.] Actually, there are lots of WYSIWYG-like editors available on UNIX - Lyrix, CrystalWriter, LEX (gag), Qoffice (gag. gag.)
