GoodNeWS version 1.2 is also available via anonymous ftp from
na-net.stanford.edu (36.8.0.154).  Be sure to set binary mode, and get
the file "pub/GoodNeWS/1.2.DEV.tar.Z".  


"GoodNeWS is a user interface for the NeWS window system, that includes
a wonderful object oriented drawing tool, a DVI previewer that lets
you preview LaTeX documents (you can include drawings made with the
drawing tool in your LaTeX documents), a terminal emulator, a
performance monitor, a scrabble game, a chess position editor, and
more!"

The initial feedback from our users seems to indicate that the LaTeX
previewer and object-oriented drawing tool will be a big hit.
GoodNeWS can also be made available on 1/2 or 1/4 inch tape media for
