Does someone out there have a function which will do the same sort of search that C-h a (command-appropos) does except on variable names rather than function names. Sometimes I want to know the value or information about a variable, but don't know it's beginning letters, so I use C-h v (describe-variable) and just enter ? at the prompt, which gives me a list of everything that is known about. Then I jump to the help window and do an isearch or occur to find what I'm looking for. I wish there were an easier way. Thanks in advance. -- ================================================================= Lynn D.
