| I use Dave Gudeman's view-mode for the *Manual* buffer (the one
| patterned after "less").  This is a minor mode and stays active
| after it is switched on the first time.  (Don't ask me why, it just
| works.)  Just another point for replacing the standard view-mode
| in the distribution with Dave's.

The reason it stays active after it is switched on the first time is
that the *Maunal Entry* buffer is never killed, just erased and written
over.
