You are entitled to your opinion, but the fact that everyone WILLINGLY follows the newsgroup creation procedures, and the unbelievable number of votes that have already come in in only 7 days on news.announce.newgroups, show that most people out there who care don't think the "politics" are "silly". In actuality, tmp also has one major difference from ordinary alt groups: groups under tmp will be created KNOWING they will be deleted after a fixed amount of time. This currently does not apply to "alt". --Greg
