The system "transmitter" must be battery powered, small in size, and shielded for at least 1000 V/m. It must accept at least four channels of analog signals and send them either singly or multiplexed over a fiber optic cable to a "receiver". The receiver may be AC powered and need not be heavily shielded. The receiver must reconstruct the original analog signal(s). The preliminary specifications for the system are as follows: Frequency Range: DC-20 MHz Input Voltage Range: 5 mV - 10 V Number of Channels: 4 minimum Range: 50 meters minimum Battery Life: 8 hours minimum Several companies (e.g. Math Associates) manufacture transceiver _components_ similar to what I need. Others (e.g. Electro Optic Developments in England) manufacture systems _similar_ to what I need but not down to DC which is important. If anyone knows of a company that makes such a system or is willing to build it, please email or call me at the number listed below. Alternatively, if I have to design it myself I would like to know alternate sources of fiber optic transceiver components. Thanks in advance for any help. -------- Steve Reinhold {..!pyramid,..!decwrl!qubix}!wjvax!stever Watkins-Johnson Co., San Jose Ca. : (408) 435-1400 x3203 -- -------- Steve Reinhold {..!pyramid,..!decwrl!qubix}!wjvax!stever Watkins-Johnson Co., San Jose Ca. : (408) 435-1400 x3203
