Motorola operates a free BBS at 512-440-3733 which contains an adequate public-domain assembler written in C, with source. A commercial C compiler for the M68HC11 is available, and is in use at the Smart Product Design Lab at Stanford. Forth is also available, in the form of a custom 68HC11 from New Micros in Dallas TX, 214-339-2204. John Nagle
