I keep seeing things like this. Several years ago I was the only man at the founding meeting of the New River Valley NOW chapter. I invited a female friend to come along, but she said "I'm not a feminist. I'm an equalist" and went on to her Wargaming Club meeting (where she was the only woman present :). There's a definite problem with this word. Isn't it supposed to be inclusive? Isn't it supposed to liberate men as much as it liberates women?
