In particular, I got four manuals: 1. Owner's Manual (with GSS drivers) 2. Getting Started 3. Communications Management 4. System Software (with all the disks) But, everywhere the manuals say "look in AT&T UNIX(tm) PC UNIX System V User's Manual" for information on just about everything. In particular, many of the unique utilities (ktune etc.) are not standard UNIX as I know it, so I need that kind of info. The question is: is this manual supposed to have been included, or is it a separate (and separately priced) object like the "extended editor" (vi) stuff? " The User's Manual (Vol.1 (Sysadmin stuff and misc docs), Vol.2 (commands, subrs, etc.)), Programmer's Guide, and "something else" accompanies the UNIXPC Development Set package (which include the C compiler, document prep set, etc.). I believe the list price of the Development Set is $495, but discounts are available from various UNIXPC dealers (for example, I believe I paid $395 from Softly Speaking in San Jose, CA, and MicroAge in San Jose has (or had) it for around $425-$450; I don't have the current pricing from TRC (in the Los Angeles area) or from DDS (in Atlanta GA)). Other docs accompanying the Dev Set are also critical if you intend doing software development on your UNIXPC, so you DO want to acquire the Dev Set. You want to be SURE you get the correct version of the Development Set to accompany your "basic" Foundation Set software (e.g. BOTH for version 3.51, 3.50, 2.0, etc.); I've noticed differences in both the docs and the software for the (for example) 2.0 and 3.51 releases for the UNIXPC. A price list accompanying the Foundation Set software also quoted pricing for the docs (separately (for use with the programs accompanying the FS)), but it's better to get the whole package (software and docs).
