Keywords: ftpd bug 4.3 tahoe NLST Message-ID: <14453@dartvax.Dartmouth.EDU> Date: 17 Jul 89 17:13:46 GMT Sender: news@dartvax.Dartmouth.EDU Reply-To: matthews@eleazar.dartmouth.edu (Jim Matthews) Organization: Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH Lines: 14 I've observed what appears to be a bug in the ftp server from the 4.3-tahoe release. The file names returned by the NLST command are terminated by linefeeds, which is contrary to RFC-959 (page 33: "The data will be transferred in ASCII or EBCDIC type over the data connection as valid pathname strings separated by or .") The LIST command is handled properly, as is the NLST command when there are additional arguments (e.g. "NLST -l"). Has anyone else noticed this bug or come up with a fix?
