When I execute (by hand): uucico -r1 -shostname -x9 I don't have any problem. When I execute: uucico -r1 -shostname from a shell script (doing polls), I usually get: uucp hostname (7/5-23:32-2531) FAILED (HSM no carrier) uucp hostname (7/5-23:32-2531) FAILED (call to hostname ) in my LOGFILE. This is on a VAX750 running 4.3 BSD (not tahoe). Can someone please tell me what the proper configuration for the Hayes 2400 is when using it with uucp? I am using hayes2400 in the L-devices file. The modem works fine with kermit. It seems hung after uucp sessions. If I run kermit and execute an +++ and a ATH0 command, the next uucico seems to work all right. The one after that dies.
