Scenario: I've encoded a number of 24x24 bitmaps into a font
          dictionary (imagemask operator used to draw character).

1. The characters come out about 500 points apart on the page.
   What should I do?

2. How do I shift the character's origin down to get the descenders
   below the baseline?
