This article, combined with the current discussions in "short- circuiting a route" (in comp.mail.misc) suggest an interesting concept. Perhaps there ought to be an "ecumenical council" sort of meeting where all the various groups and individuals concerned with the transfer and delivery of electronic mail could get together and discuss the issue in a moderated and calm manner. This could be done in conjunction with (at least to start) a USENIX meeting or maybe even the IFIPS congress. Just an interesting idea? Or maybe a new crusade. -- Greg Woodbury
