Summary: why does my connection hang when there's nothing more to find? Keywords: rn threads Message-ID: <1002@utkcs2.cs.utk.edu> Date: 17 Jul 89 02:19:22 GMT Reply-To: bass@utkcs2.cs.utk.edu (Vance Bass) Followup-To: news.misc Organization: CS Dept, University of TN, Knoxville Lines: 16 Perhaps this is a bug, perhaps I'm doing something I oughtn't. . . . Why is it that, when I'm scanning a topic thread with control-n, my connection hangs? This seems to happen consistently when I press ^n after reading the LAST entry in a thread. I can't break out of it, and rn doesn't seem to come back in a reasonable amount of time, so I don't believe that it's just trying really hard to do what I want. Is this YAUE (yet another user error)? A known bug? Can someone suggest a fix (other than "don't do that")? -- Vance Bass The opinions expressed here are strictly IBM M&SG my own, and do not necessarily Knoxville, TN represent IBM's views on the subject.
