My understanding of the situation is this:  there is one NFS
implementation for the Mac, done by the CITI folks, but it was done
under contract to Apple and so can't be distributed.  Apple was going
to announce an NFS product on June 12 but pulled it a few weeks before
that for some unspecified reason.
