Well, sometimes I'm using those terms also, and not only for flowers. But to start a technical discussion of a new product (when not everybody is familiar what it's all about) with "ugly" - I don't like that. It's an "ugly" way to introduce something. Describe it at first, and THEN let's see, if it's ugly, or beautifil. But not before! And anyway, it's better to use those terms more seldom than technical ones, when you're doing technical things.
