According to the documentation the only pipe that works properly with ARP is William Hawes' PIP:. You know, the one that comes with that great program known as CONMAN. (Thanks Bill, this truely IS the greatest thing since sliced bread.) As a matter of fact, I also replaced C='s NEWCON: device with Bill's. This creates an environment that is much more powerful than the vanilla system. Another nice thing about ARPs with Bill's PIP: is that you can do real pipes, you know, 'DIR df0: | sort'. This is NOT done with temp files so you can put any number of pipes together in one command. FINALLY! HURRAY! This brings about a question of my own. Why the heck (are you listening Commodore?) doesn't Commodore include these products as standard? If I am not mistaken, both products were offered to C= to include as standards in the OS. What is wrong Commodore? Don't you like the best? These are most certainly superior to the 1.3 released similar things. ------------------------------ Alan W.
