Whoever posted that $800 price for a Miniscribe 6085 should be advised that
brand new 6085 drives with 1 year warranty are generally available in this
area (Silicon Valley) for around $530.  The 1/2 height version, the 3085,
which is also faster (22 mS), is available for $589 (also with a one year
warranty).

For reference: check the Sunday COMPUTING section of the San Jose Mercury
News (i.e. the ads), and the Sunday BUSINESS section of the San Francisco
Chronicle.

It's possible one can get even better pricing perusing the COMPUTER SHOPPER,
MICROTIMES, and COMPUTER CURRENTS.
