Less like copy protection, which prevents you from giving away the software, than password protection which in addition to that also stops others from using your account. Before you log on for the firt time, copy your software to a backup diskette! Then copy to your hard disk. Then log on! This will leave you with a 'virgin' copy of your AppleLink software that can be restored in case anything unfortunate happens to youraccount. Every time you log onto AppleLink your password on disk is updated (transparent to you). Thus any copies made after the initial logon will be useless for backup purposes.
