Not the worst way to spend their time. 2) I think the best way of formatting a harddisk is FIRST finding out the optimum interleave factor for the drive (e.g. by using Disk Timer (can be obtained from Apple2-L)), formatting it with a program that enables you to choose the interleave factor (Apple2-L again; I can't remember the exact name now), partitioning it with the SCSI utilities disk (because low level formatting doesn't install a partition map and ADU would reformat the drive without it) and THEN partition it again with ADU. That can take some time, but it's worth it. Achim Patzner
