Is there a way to hook up an Atari ST to an MS-DOS type network or something?

I'm looking into getting an ST, and would LOVE to be able to run some of my
MS-DOS programs off of my XT machine while not having to resort to copying
and buying the PC Emulator.  Can it be done?
