I doubt if there is much of a market in Japan, since the Japanese prefer
to use a computer that works in their language and can do hiragana/katakana/
kanji.  A friend loaned me a Japanese computer magazine, however, and I
did see some ads for Atari St's for music applications.  The ads 
were for stores that specialize in midi.
