I bravely opened it up expecting to change the battery. I found that the battery was a soldered lithium job. I called Supra to obtain a replacement or find the cost of repair. According to the Supra rep (Keith, I think), they received a shipment of defective clock chips late last year (1988). The chips have the nasty habit of draining the battery. Supra is repairing the problem at their expense, even if your unit is out of warranty! Contact Supra at 503/967-9081 for more information and the details as to the correct procedure to follow. Supra again gets my vote as one of the best companies in the ST marketplace.
