The procedure is to treat the disk as a write only by 1.2m drive disk. The disk must also be bulk erased, I use a bulk cassette eraser, before formatting. I have not had any problems with this procedure. Just make sure to NEVER write on the disk with the 360k drive unless bulk erased.
