fdformat is an EXCELLENT German program that will allow you to format
disks in a variety of formats.  I use it to put 720K on 5.25 floppies,
a very economical format.  It includes a program that kicks dumb machines
into acceptance of the various formats.

fdformat is available on SIMTEL20 and elsewhere.  Make sure you can the
package that includes fdread2.com (the kicker program).
