When I put a document, say a Font/DA mover document (otherwise known as a DA :->) onto a partition, it looks like the generic doc icon until Font/DA mover is moved onto the partition. This happens with lots of apps. Is this normal? I assume so, since I guess the desktop needs to access the app's BNDL, but I've never really noticed it before.
