|OK, I give up.  How do I get the disk file checkbox to appear?  It doesn't show
|up in Resedit in the dialog box, and although I can find the text 'disk file'
|when I do "open general" in ResEdit, I have no idea what I need to change in that
|format to make it visible.

When editing the dialog, select the resource by number (via the menu), and
then Get Info.  You'll get the resource info box that lists the position at
0,0 0,0.  Change those 0s to something that will be large enough to click
in; at this point you can click in, and therefore resize & drag the
resource.  Move it where you want it, and resize it large enough so it shows
up completely.
