The Q & A Stack that Apple distributed to developers at the last
developer conference made mention of the parameter ram. For you, the
news is bleak, their attitude is that the p-ram is off-limits and
not to be touched. The philosophy behind this is that it is supposed
to be under user control, via the Control Panel, and not under
program control. If your strictly interested in "Mouse Management"
however, another note in the same stack does reveal how the mouse
is tracked and scaled, though I gather Apple doesn't like anybody
to actually make use of this hidden info, as their note discourages
it.
