If the key pressed to trigger the switch out of Tektronics mode is anything except , the change back to vt220 mode is fine. If the key triggers the change, the screen is messed up, and has to be reset with an "Esc[!p" sequence. This happens with our own programs and with the SCO Professional (1-2-3 workalike). Question: Is there any sequence I can send to switch the terminal from Tektronics to vt220 mode which will avoid the glitch? Also, I would like to display a status line somewhere on the screen while in vt220 mode. I need approximately 40 characters for the status line, which would update once per minute. I do not want the "standard" WY-99GT status line with time, cursor line & column, and editing messages. Question: Is there a way to display a system-generated status line, in vt220 mode, either on the top line of the screen or the label line area at the bottom of the screen? Please send replies by email. I do not receive this newsgroup. Thanks. -- Ronald Florence {decuac, garp, gatech, sun, uunet}!rayssd!mlfarm!ron
