I would like to generate fonts (specifically cmfib8, cmdunh10, and cmti12) for the atari screen - 96dpi. The mode_def catari works as does epson for epson printers. Where do these mode_defs reside (what file)? When I copy the lowres mode_def from plain.mf and change the pixles_per_inch value to 96 and save the def in a file called 'screen' and issue \mode=screen; to mf I still get tracingtitles even though that parameter is set to 0. When the crunching stops I get a huge file that looks like 'cm.260' where the 260 is a truncation of 2601 - that is, my 96dpi mode_def didn't get read and it defaulted to the 2601dpi mode. How do you creat a new mode_def and install it on the system - I do not have initmf.mf.
