I've never had any problems using tip or cu to login to remote *nix
systems with one notable exception.  When I try to tip to a Xenix
system it won't accept carriage return as a line terminator at login.
It *will* accept line feed but then it rejects my login as invalid.
Can anyone help me understand what is going on?
