I'm running HDB on an IBM-RT, under AIX. I want to establish a hardwired connection to another system, also running HDB. I can cu between the systems, and all works fine. I can log in, and I get a shell. When the "other" systems calls (via uucico) the RT, however, I have problems. It can log in OK, and invokes /usr/lib/uucp/uucico. It starts the negotiation, emits a Shere=, then (when the "other" system send Shere=), exits. The /usr/spool/uucp/.Admin/errors has an initial assertion error, then about 200 more. I can't work it out! As always, THANKS IN ADVANCE if you can help. This is AIX 2.2. Appropriate technical details follow.
