You had better look deeper for the source of the problem, XtRealize widget checks to see if a widget is already realized and if it is then no action is taken. Do you have Save Unders active on your menus? On slow machines this can cause things to be really slow. Especially if it has to page that chunk of code in from the disk. Chris D.
