Does it make sense to go all the way to 4.5MB or is 3MB sufficient. (Don't laugh, I *have* to ask.) In the 1.5MB configuration, the NCD16 has 1/2MB on the motherboard and four 256k SIMMs occupying its four SIMM sockets. To upgrade to 4.5MB requires replacing all four 256k SIMMs with 1MB SIMMs (at $450 each). To upgrade to 3MB, only two 256k SIMMs would be replaced. Is it true that "A SIMM is a SIMM is SIMM"?
