I believe someone here did exactly what you're proposing: went to local store & bought ones of similar cycle speed and they worked fine. the spec's are: 256K or 1M by 8 bit, 100ns; max. height 1.1", between 0.047 and 0.053 inches thick. perhaps you'd best ask the store if you can return them if they don't work; then what do you have to lose?
