   This is on a Sun4/OS4 inside an xterm.

   pred$ gmake DESTDIR=/usr/tmb/gnubin TARGET=SUN4 OS=SUNOS4 BISON=bison -y CC=gcc install
   ...
   pred$ gmake DESTDIR=/usr/tmb/gnubin TARGET=SUN4 OS=SUNOS4 BISON=bison -y CC=gcc install
   mv /usr/tmb/gnubin/bash /usr/tmb/gnubin/bash.old
   cp bash /usr/tmb/gnubin/bash
   rm -f installed-bash
   ln -s /usr/tmb/gnubin/bash installed-bash
   pred$ bash
   initialize_jobs: get line discjobs.c: Inappropriate ioctl for device
   bash$ Memory fault(coredump)
   pred$ bash

Please use gcc -traditional, as I pointed out before, when you
complained about the identical problem.
