I have been using a copy of gnuemacs as distributed by DAISY.

It has a problem under the following conditions:

1.	log into the sun.
2.	don't use X or sunviews. Just the default window.
3.	shutdown another sun system on the 
	network which causes shutdown messages to appear
	on the system running gnuemacs
4.	gnuemacs is now hung and has to be killed.
