I'm in the process of evaluating V.32 modems.  I've tried the NEC
(model number forgotten) and am now trying the Digicom Systems,
Inc. 9624LE.  The NEC is $995 and the DSI is $795, both list price
quantity one.  At these prices I can't imagine why anyone would
buy a Telebit 2500 unless you just had to have Telebit compatibility.

Has anyone else had experience with either of these modems, or know
of other similarly priced V.32 modems?

I'll summarize my experiences when I complete my evaluation.
