Finally I get this thing to work right. Yes, our LAN makes it look like everybody is running at 38.4K baud. stty speed 1200 solved my problems, along with a kermit termcap mailed to me by a kind soul and modified more by me. One other person suggested that I try setting my speed lower and I tried 'stty speed 300' which didn't seem to work, so I gave up on that approach. Thanks to everybody that Helped!
