I think the new "Adobe Originals" collection will help. In particular, the new Adobe Garamond font and Utopia, both designed at Adobe, contain: * ff fi fl ffi ffl ligatures * small capitals * old style digits * alternates (swash capitals, ornaments, alternative letters) * superior letters: a,b,d,e,i,l,m,n,o,r,s,t * titling capitals (for use at larger point sizes, as in display) * miscellaneous: symbols, punctuation, dot leaders, etc. Call 1-88-83-FONTS to get a copy of the "Font and Function" catalog for more details....
