I am thinking about obtaining a copy to do some prototyping on a 9000/360 running 6.5. The announcement I saw says that it is "marginally sysV", and the license agreement implies that they give no installation support. Does it actually run under HP-UX? How much trouble is it to get up and running? Is it worth it? And of course, is there anything I should use instead? Speed is not all that critical, but I don't think I can afford to run interpreted. I could use a good library and debugger. Foreign function calls will probably be necessary (calling in, too, if possible). Hooks into X11 would be really nice (I heard a rumor about a public domain program out of UCLA). Any pointers will be appreciated.
