I have a method to copy the release 5 1/4" disks onto my sun workstation as a disk image (sequence of bytes). The sun386i has 3 1/2 floppy disks (1.44 megabytes). It high density media (2.0 Megabytes) work at 1.44 megabytes but not a 720K bytes. What steps need to be taken to build a bootable release for 3 1/2" disks from 5 1/4" disks. I really don't know much about these 3 1/2" disks (I've seen various diffs to the floppy drivers). Do I have to make a current kernel + bootdisk (i.e. 1.3d) before I can have a bootable 3 1/2" image. Any help is appreciated (i.e. anyone else out there who has done this?). marty ARPA: leisner.henr@xerox.com GV: leisner.henr NS: leisner:wbst139:xerox UUCP: hplabs!arisia!leisner
